Nathalie Udo, PMP
President

Nathalie Udo has a proven track record in leading large-scale multi-million dollar initiatives for corporations including the Baan Company, Boeing Corporation, Fireman’s Fund and Autodesk.  She is a seasoned professional with extensive project management, communication, and leadership skills.  Her personal belief is that although project management tools and techniques are crucial, people management determines more than 80% of project success. Nathalie’s clients compliment her for her project management expertise, commitment to making project goals, and strong work ethic. She is a certified Scrum Master and has a Masters Degree in Economics and Business Administration from the University of Maastricht, Netherlands.  As author of several papers on the subject of project management, Nathalie has been a guest speaker at several global conferences.

Jennifer Tharp, PMP
Past President

Jennifer Tharp, PMP is a distinguished member of the project management community. During an accomplished corporate career, she held several senior project management positions with major multinational corporations, including Thomson and Vodafone. Among her diverse consulting clients are Genentech, Putnam Investments and eBay.

Ms. Tharp has advised organizations on IT governance and corporate strategy, designing and implementing change to achieve strategic objectives and maximize operational efficiency.  A frequent international speaker on risk and strategy in technology organizations, she was profiled by Ziff-Davis Media in 2006 as a "Great Mind in Development."

Bobby Yarlagadda
Chief Financial Officer

Rambabu (Bobby) Yarlagadda is the CEO of BPO Systems Inc. He started the company in 2001 and has grown it to 50 employees. BPO specializes in project management for ERP implementations as well as ERP support services. He has 24 years of experience in managing Accounting, Finance, Planning, IT, Procurement and HR functions at a number of Fortune 500 companies (Pepsi-Cola, Beatrice, Sara Lee, Taco Bell), Entertainment, Software, Internet & Media companies (Living Books, Narrative communications, Upside Media) and Oil & Gas companies (Alaska Pipeline). He was CFO or Controller of business units or independent companies ranging in size from a startup to $1.2 Billion in revenue. He holds an MBA from the University of Chicago and is certified PMP.

Denise Harris, PMP
Vice President of Corporate Relations

Denise Harris, PMP founded Earned Value Experts, Inc., a project management consulting firm, in 2005 after nearly 20 years of managing strategic and implementation projects for various corporations.  She is committed to adding value to her clients by tailoring project management best practices to their business goals. She is experienced in managing implementation projects at a number of telecommunications companies, sales operations projects at Genentech, and IT projects at the Oakland Unified School District. Recently, Ms. Harris started a consulting assignment with the California Department of Corrections Health Care Services.

She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in English; a Master of Science degree in Telecommunications Management; and a Master of Science Degree in Project Management from the George Washington University. She is an active member of the Project Management Institute.  She was Assistant Director of Communications for the Microsoft Project Association for two terms and she was a Former Director of Member Services (West Coast) - Information Systems Special Interest Group before being elected to the 2008 Board of Directors for the San Francisco Bay Area Chapter of PMI.

Kimi Ziemski, PMP
Vice President of Corporate Relations

Kimi Ziemski, PMP, is a successful project and account manager. Recent achievements include contributions to the Business Analysts Essentials Library, and the development of three communications and leadership workshops presented across the country. Before re-joining the development industry in late 2000, Kimi worked with multi-national in the diverse environment of Silicon Valley.  She achieved, year after year, in excess of significant corporate expectations of revenue and profitability.

Kimi currently delivers PMI based courses and PMP exam prep material all over the country.  She also works with clients delivering customized programs. Kimi is proud of her recent invitation to participate in the project currently in process to update the Guide to the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK).

Tony Appleby, PMP, SCPM
Vice President of Operations

Mr. Appleby is a seasoned Project Management Professional with over twenty years of formal project, program, and portfolio management experience with Global 2000 clients and has served the profession in both the local and international communities.  A former PMO Director, he has recently coauthored a text on organizational project management maturity best practices.  Further, he has written numerous published articles, papers, and presentations on the project management discipline.
He has been very active with the SFBAC over the years and instrumental in developing the Oakland breakfast roundtables in 2000.  He currently serves on the board of directors of a multinational manufacturing firm as Secretary.

Lou Owayni, MBA, PMP
Vice President of Professional Development

Lou earned his MBA at Thunderbird (American Graduate School of International Management), and is currently a Senior Project Manager at Adaptec, Inc one of Silicon Valley’s Storage leaders. Lou’s career spans hands-on technical positions; sales management and IT management positions, culminating in project management where he brings his expertise together to deliver successful enterprise-wide and global projects.  He has developed and supported major Infrastructure, Disaster Recovery, as well as mission critical applications projects. Lou is active in the PM community in the Bay Area and has extensive vendor contacts which he will apply to enhance the Chapter’s Professional Development discipline to the benefit of all members.

Eoin O'Donoghue, PMP
Director of Communications

Eoin holds a MS degree from National-Louis University and an Engineering degree from Trinity College, Dublin. He is currently with John Muir Health as a Technical Project Manager, managing infrastructure and healthcare application projects. He has over 20 years experience in system engineering, management and project management roles in Telecommunications, Financial services, Transportation and Healthcare industries. He has been volunteering with the Chapter on communications for the past three years.

Rebecca Kim
Director of Membership

Rebecca is a recent PMI member who took up the reins as the chair of the 2007 NorCal Symposium planning committee with eager enthusiasm.  She is excited to continue this volunteering spirit in the SFBAC’s membership area to encourage and support all members to be actively involved. 
She has earned her MS at Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh, PA in Public Policy and Management, and is currently a Senior IT Project Manager at Kaiser Permanente.  Rebecca has over 10 years experience in IT and Project Management.  Her experience includes working in both corporate IT and consulting fields for companies such as McKinsey & Company and Proxicom.

Sonja Stewart, PMP
Director of Programs

Sonja C. Stewart has over 10 years experience in Project and Program Management.  Her experience includes creating and implementing programs for Kaiser Permanente, the County of Alameda ; the Port of Oakland and the State of California .  She is the President and CEO of StarGazer Enterprise , a consultant firm that provides Program and Project Management, Outreach and Monitoring services to Governmental agencies.  She actively volunteers for many organizations in Oakland and San Francisco, CA and in the past has been a storyteller for Barnes and Nobles (Jack London square in Oakland, CA ) and Eastmont Mall Headstart in Oakland, CA.  Currently, she is working as a contractor for Chevron Project Resources Company.

Traci Barlow, PMP
Director of Volunteers

An experienced Project Management Professional, PMP consultant, business manager and entrepreneur, Traci brings over 10 years of project management, business consulting and information technology experience to her clients.  She has been a project management consultant for companies such as Visa, Charles Schwab, Littler Mendelson, U.S. Government, Sun Microsystems, Intel and Cisco.  She has managed a diverse set of high profile projects such as: government security initiatives, IT infrastructure rollouts, ecommerce websites, software application development and implementation, as well as the planning and execution of technology events across the U.S.  She is an active member of the Junior League of San Francisco and is currently working as a Project Management Consultant for cPrime, a consulting firm committed to Project Management Excellence.
